The Company started total management of hospitals.

The Company entered into a contract for capital and business tie-ups with Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd (current Panasonic Corporation).

The condominium management business of Kyokuyo Development Corporation, a consolidated subsidiary, was integrated into the Company, and the subsidiary was dissolved at the end of August.

The Company acquired shares of Shiseido Kaihatsu Co., Ltd., a group company of Shiseido Company, Limited, to include in the scope of consolidation with a new trade name, NS Corporation Co., Ltd.

Business in Okinawa was spun-off (simplified absorption-type split) into Okinawa Nippon Kanzai Co.,Ltd. and started its operation.
